Meet Baby D - the most adorable little fawn/deer and the perfect small size, but not too small. This stuffie works up super quick - less than a day for me - and used less than 1 of skein of the primary color and very small amounts of a few more colors.

Materials:
Yarns: Baby D was constructed with all Impeccable Yarns. I have used Barley as the main color; Putty on the face, horns, inner tail and spots; Soft Rose in the ears and the nose; and True Gray on the bottoms of the feet/arms.
-Hook: I used a G/4mm hook for most of this pattern. I have also used my H/5mm hook on the horns, outer ears and outer tail.
-Safety Eyes (or yarn to embroider if you choose) and needle to embroider face. my eyes are by Suncatcher 18mm in Glitter Combo
-Stuffing. I have used Poly-Fill brand stuffing, but feel free to use what you prefer.

This deer worked up for me to be 15” from the top of the horn/ear to foot. This is a modification to my Scrappy the Dinosaur pattern. If you like this pattern, I have several new baby animals listed.

You can change the colors and make this a custom make. My example may look girly so change the pink to light blue for a boy if you prefer. I know girl deer don’t have horns exactly, but wanted to include this in my pattern for complete customization.

Baby D is a written out pattern with photos and tutorials and a good beginner crochet pattern. It is a 7-page downloadable pdf. Check back with me often because I have a bunch of new baby animals on their way.

If you have amigurumi knowledge and know how to work in the round - ex. 6,12,18,24 etc with increases and decreases you won’t have any trouble.

I am here all to help and support you in any way I can after you download my pattern.
