Baby Mouse & Costumes
This pattern is for the small baby mouse as well as its 5 removable costumes - a carrot, a bee, a ghost, a gift and a snowman!
The pattern contains lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms. All of my patterns have been independently tested prior to publication.
You will need:
Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your project will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used King Cole Cherished DK (equivalent to weight 3 / light worsted weight) and my finished baby mouse measures approximately 4.5cm tall. Please ensure that you use the same weight yarn throughout your project.
For the baby mouse (pages 4 - 5), you will need the following colours:
- Cream (approx. 5m per baby mouse).
- Pale pink (approx. 1.25m per baby mouse).
For the carrot costume (pages 6 - 7), you will need the following colour:
- Orange (approx. 3.25m).
For the ghost costume (page 7), you will need the following colours:
- White (approx. 7.5m).
- Black (approx. 1.25m).
For the gift costume (page 8), you will need the following colours:
- Red (approx. 4.5m).
- Yellow (approx. 1.25m).
For the bee costume (pages 9 - 10), you will need the following colours:
- Light grey (approx. 2.5m).
- Yellow (approx. 1.75m).
- White (approx. 3m).
- Black (approx. 2.5m).
For the snowman costume (page 11), you will need the following colours:
- White (approx. 8.5m).
- Green (approx. 1.25m).
Please note - The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide. The pattern refers to the colours that I used, however these can be substituted for colours of your choice.
You will also need:
- A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook.
- Some toy stuffing.
- A small amount of black, dark brown and dark green finer yarn or thread for adding the details to the face, snowman & carrot hat.
- Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and some stitch markers.
You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself. Thank you
