Wondering what to knit your first child or your best friend’s newborn? Nico is a simple, comfy and super cute sweater for sizes 6-9 (9-12, 12-18) months. Our worsted weight yarn is super soft and stretchy; a little blocking will take you a long way towards getting the most wear out of this keepsake sweater!

This hooded pullover is a great pattern for advanced beginners. You must be able to knit in the round, pick up stitches, and work the Kitchener stitch.

For experienced knitters, this is a perfect “blank slate” pattern. Add a chunky cable up the front, work a lace trim around the sleeves and hood, stripe it, knit contrasting trim… the possibilities are endless!

Errata
The section immediately following the section where you split the sweater for the shawl collar/hood should read as follows:

From now on, sweater is knit back and forth rather than in the round.
To begin the next row, turn work. K8, sl marker, p to the last marker, k8 sts.
