The Baby Octopus is a fast and easy no-sew amigurumi project, meaning it’s crocheted in one piece! It only takes 10 minutes to make and a great way to use up leftover scrap yarn. This stashbuster design features a round, squishy body and eight chubby little tentacles.
These baby octopi are suitable as kawaii (“cute”) ornaments or keychain charms. They serve as fun kids toys, nursery decor, and pocket-sized friends! You can use any yarn fiber, from cotton to chenille velvet, to create different textures…or any weight to create different sizes! This project looks great in all different yarn colors, including solids, ombre, self-striping, and variegated yarn. Customization is easy by adding crocheted appliques, bows, beads, buttons, eyes/facial features, and more.
