This cute little baby penguin hot water bottle cover has been designed to fit a standard 2 litre hot water bottle.

This is an easy symmetrical pattern to follow.

You will need just 1 ball of Stylecraft special chunky (157 yards per ball) to knit this with, plus a small amount of grey, black and white for the penguin.

There is a little finishing off by hand sewing, for the face and feet, and shading for the wings, with a slightly darker shade of grey than used for the body. (optional).

It is knitted mostly all in one piece, except for the back envelope opening and the funnel.

Knitted with chunky yarn, tension:
14 stitches x 20 rows = 10 cm/4 inches with 6 mm needles.
