This crochet pom pom baby hat features a texture-rich shell stitch in 4 colors (one color for the main body of the hat, and 3 accent colors). The pattern includes instructions for 4 sizes; 0 to 3 months, 3 to 6 months, 6 to 12 months, and 12 to 18 months. You will also get instructions for making the pom poms.

This listing includes 2 pdf files. The first is a fully illustrated pattern for the body of the hat. The second is a fully illustrated set of instructions on how to make your own pom poms.

This is an intermediate / beginner pattern. It requires the knowledge of basic crochet stitches: chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, and slip stitch, as well as being able to work in the round.

Materials needed:
-Approximately 110 yards of the main color yarn, and approximately 25 yards of each of the three accent color yarns. (I used Caron Natura for my examples.)
-size K (10 1/2) crochet hook
-tapestry needle for weaving in ends
-stitch marker
-enough cardboard for two 4 inch circles for making the pom poms
