These sizes are the “unstretched” sizes – the hat will fit average size heads in the age range.

Needles & Notions
Any double knitting/8ply weight yarn
1(1,1,2)(2,2) x 50g ball main colour, 1 x 50g ball contrast colour

Suggested needles: Size 4mm (US6) – either single point needles for knitting flat or your preferred needles for knitting in the round (e.g. 5 x double point needles, a long circular needle for knitting “magic loop” or 2 shorter circular needles).

Lockable stitch markers + 1 distinguishable stitch marker for BOR. You can use small pieces of scrap yarn tied into loops for this if you don’t have stitch markers
