Sizes: A (B, C, D, E) (F, G)

Newborn (3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months) (18 months, 24 months)

Actual garment waist sizes: 18” (19.5”, 20.5”, 21”, 21.5”) (22.25”, 23”) / 46cm (50cm, 52cm, 53cm, 55cm) (57cm, 58cm)

Yarn: Sample knitted in Katia baby merino (165m / 50g). Any yarn that meets the gauge may be used.

Yardage: 90 (95, 100, 105, 110) (115, 120) grams / 230 (310, 330, 350, 360) (380, 400) meters / 325 (340, 360, 380, 400) (415, 430) yards.

Yardage is for suggested body and arm length, if these are lengthened you will need additional yarn.

Needles: 2.5 mm & 3 mm circular needles and/or DPNs. Needle sizes are recommended, choose a size needed to achieve gauge, the smaller needle should be 0.5 mm smaller than the larger needle.

Gauge: 26 stitches & 38 rows per 4” / 10 cm in stockinette on larger needles after blocking.

Notions: 2 spare cables or waste yarn to hold sleeves, at least one removable stitch marker (if you choose to use the optional markers you will need 24 sliding markers).

Difficulty: Confident beginner. The sweater is knitted top down in the round, techniques required are: knitting in the round, folded hem, basic knitwise increases, casting on with the back loop.

Construction: The sweater is knitted top down in the round with increases spaced out along the yoke, the sleeves are then separated while the body is knit in the round. Sleeve stitches are then picked up and the sleeves knitted in the round. Length of the body and sleeve can easily be modified.
