A fun way to use up some scraps of baby yarn to make a colorful and quick hat for a newborn in your life.

You can make this pattern with four colors (as pictured) or with two.

Sized for a newborn (circumference 13.5 inches), but this pattern can easily by extended (each pattern repeat is ~1.5 inches long) or worked in a larger gauge for a larger child.

Note: this is my first posted pattern, so if there are any mistakes I’m sorry! Hope you enjoy. Some basics of the pattern are adapted from this pattern.

Materials needed: double pointed needles in sizes 0 and 2, yarn, tapestry needle
