You can make this ball with any yarn, but you will want the same weight in each colour for it to be even. If you can do basic crochet (dc, US sc) and increase, you can do this. The pieces are then sewn together. I use a cotton yarn for stability, but whatever you have will do. It’s a free pattern, have a look!
