The beauty of having mittens that pair with a hat, is that you can copy and paste your description. ;)

Life never goes as you expect. No matter how hard you plan, things can always go awry. Such was my case for the better part of a year, but once the dust settles, you can get ‘Back On Track.’

These mittens use twisted stitches that creates a pattern that ebbs and flows its was up the hand. Similar to how life ebbs and flows as time goes on. The line from A to B might not always be straight, but as long as you are headed in the right direction, you can always get Back on Track.

I hope you enjoy the pattern.

Sizes:

  • Small: fits a hand circumference under 7”
  • Medium: fits a hand circumference between 7” - 7.5”
  • Large: fits a hand circumference larger than 7.5”

Yarn Used:

  • These mittens call for 200-240 yards of a worsted weight yarn. I used Noro Haunui Silk in colour #107. One skein gives you enough yardage to knit these mittens and the coordinating hat!

Needles:

  • 3.50mm and 4.00mm needles in your preferred method of knitting in small circumferences (magic loop, DPN’s, 9” circular)

Gauge:

  • I like my mittens nice and dense, so the gauge is 22 sts /4” with worsted weight yarn. If you don’t want your mittens this dense, you could substitute DK weight yarn, you’ll just need to be careful, as you may have to add rounds to get the length you need.

Additional Materials Needed

  • 4 stitch markers, waste yarn, scissors, darning needle
