Life never goes as you expect. No matter how hard you plan, things can always go awry. Such was my case for the better part of a year, but once the dust settles, you can get ‘Back On Track.’

This hat uses twisted stitches that creates a pattern that ebbs and flows its was up the hat. Similar to how life ebbs and flows as time goes on. The line from A to B might not always be straight, but as long as you are headed in the right direction, you can always get Back on Track.

I hope you enjoy the pattern.

Sizing:

  • Fits heads up to a 24” circumference

Yarn Used:

  • This pattern calls for 160 yards of a Worsted weight yarn. I chose to knit with Noro Haunui Silk in colour #107. This particular yarn has enough yardage to knit this hat AND the coordinating mittens (Back On Track Mittens)

Needles:

  • 4.00mm and 5.00mm needles on a 16” cord, plus 5.00mm needles in your preferred method for knitting small circumferences (magic loop, DPN’s, 9” circular)

Gauge:

  • 18 sts/4” when knitting in stockinette

  • 23 sts / 4” when knitting in pattern

Additional Materials Needed:

  • 6 stitch markers (one unique for BOR), scissors, darning needle
