The Backcountry Beanie is perfect for beginning crocheters. It’s worked flat and then seamed together on the sides and top. You’re just crocheting a rectangle. Made with #5 bulky yarn this hat works up quick and will keep you warm in the winter.

Materials
75-120 yds #5 bulky yarn, for the sm adult size- I used less than 1 skein Premier Serenity Chunky in Oatmeal Heather
8mm (M) hook, Yarn needle, Measuring tape, Scissors
