In the name of accessibility, I have made this pattern a free download. I wasn’t making much money on it anyway, and conversations about income and affordability helped me realise that it was pointless to keep the pattern “paid for” when it was barely part of my income anyway.
But, if you are downloading this pattern and you do wish to support me in a monetary way, you can donate to my Ko-Fi. This money will go towards a website switch in future.

The Backslash scarf was created because I was bored with my usual shawls and cowls. I felt like the humble scarf had fallen by the wayside a little bit. So off I went to create something modern and functional.
The scarf itself is in the shape of a backslash, with a simple yarn over pattern within the scarf which also represents a backslash.

The pattern is simple and written in a way which makes it easy enough for intermediate knitters, or brave beginners.

This is a one size pattern, but you can make it as long or as short as you wish.

If you choose to use contrast colours within the scarf, you will need:
About 30g/127m of contrasting colour (I used minis), and 70g/298m of main colour.

Be adventurous!
