Bad Batch beanie
Bad Batch beanie is worked in the round, bottom up. The triple folded brim is worked in three sections, first stranded knitting, then stockinette that at the end is worked together with the cast on edge and lastly a section of 1x1 rib for a better fit around the head. The head is worked in stranded knitting.
YARN
Svarta Fåret Merino and/or Svarta Fåret Ulrika Tweed (100 m ≈ 110 yds / 50 g), 3 colours.
SIZES
A-(B-C-D).
Beanie circumference: approx. 43,5-(46,5-50-53,5) cm / 17-(18.25-19.75-21)”.
Intended ease is approx. 6–10 cm / 2.25–4” of negative ease, see schematic and measurements in photos.
YARN AMOUNT
Colour 1 (Merino, Mammoth): approx. 130-(140-155) m ≈ 145-(155-170) yds.
Colour 2 (Ulrika Tweed, Nori): approx. 50-(55-65) m ≈ 55-(60-70) yds.
Colour 3 (Ulrika Tweed, Champagne): approx. 90-(100-110) m ≈ 100-(110-120) yds.
ALTERNATIVE YARN
Other worsted weight yarn like Sandnes Double Sunday, Filcolana Peruvian or Järbo Alpe.
GAUGE
24 sts x 25 rnds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” on 4mm (US 6) needles in Chart A (stranded knitting), after blocking.
NEEDLES
4 mm (US 6) circular needles + 3,5 mm (US 4) circular needles, 40 cm / 16” long.
And the same sizes in DPN’s (or circular needle at least 80 cm / 32” long for Magic Loop).
