Create a spooky and kick-a$$ Badlands Hood for yourself with this 17 Page pattern! This is an intermediate level pattern requiring prior knowledge of basic tapestry/colourwork crochet techniques which are not explained in significant detail in the pattern. Please read more below under ‘Experience Level’.

The Badlands Hood features a striking skull face covering which folds down into a turtleneck-style collar and an oversized distressed hood which folds down to stretch around the shoulders like a cowl/wrap. Contrast colour accents pack the final punch!

This pattern is mostly one size fits all and will fit any body. Instructions for how to adjust the face covering portion depending on head size if needed are included.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

Yarn -

Approx. 160 g (315m/345yds) BLACK aran or heavier worsted weight yarn, or possibly a bit more depending on your head size.

Approx. 15g (30m/32yds) WHITE aran or heavier worsted weight yarn.

If you would like to add a third accent colour as I have done:
Approx. 10g (28m/30yds) DK yarn

Required hooks - 4.5, 5 & 7mm.
Required notions - Yarn needle, locking stitch markers in two colours and scissors.
