Badlands Sleeves
Create the spooky and kick-a$$ Badlands Sleeves for yourself with this 38 Page pattern! This is an intermediate level pattern requiring prior knowledge of basic tapestry/colourwork crochet techniques which are not explained in significant detail in the pattern. Please read more below under ‘Experience Level’.
The Badlands Sleeves feature a striking skull face covering which folds down into a turtleneck-style collar and bone sleeves… with thumb holes! An oversized distressed hood which folds down to stretch around the shoulders like a cowl/wrap and contrast colour accents pack the final punch!
This pattern is entirely made to measure, meaning that a measuring tape and trying on your work as you go is essential.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
Yarn -
Approx. 350g (685m/750yds) BLACK aran or heavier worsted weight yarn, or possibly a bit more depending on your head size.
Approx. 85g (170m/186yds) WHITE aran or heavier worsted weight yarn.
If you would like to add a third accent colour as I have done:
Approx. 30g (85m/93yds) DK yarn
Required hooks - 4.5, 5 & 7mm.
Required notions - Yarn needle, several locking stitch markers in various colours and scissors.

This pattern is suitable for intermediate crafters.
This is a pattern, not a tutorial. This pattern requires prior knowledge of basic tapestry/colourwork crochet techniques which are not explained in significant detail in the pattern.
You will need to know basic crochet stitches (including increase/decrease, back loop only, third loop only) and how to try on your work as you go to ensure a good fit. This pattern includes a mixture of written instructions and supporting diagrams and photos for visual learners. There is no video included.
