Meet the crochet baguette bag - made for 1-2 baguettes, impromptu bakery stops, and looking suspiciously chic while doing your grocery shopping. It has a tulip filet crochet design, ruffle details, a delicate picot edge, and a convenient shoulder strap. Because even bread deserves a handbag.

This bag is best made with cotton or other natural fiber yarn to give it the proper structure. Changing the yarn weight or hook size will result in a bag that does not fit a standard baguette. Strap length can be modified.

Knowlege of filet crochet (4 DC mesh) is required for this pattern.

Bag is crocheted in two identical filet crochet panels. The crocodile stitch is used at the top of each panel to give a ruffle look. Panels are seamed together at three sides. A strap and picot edge detail are added last.

Special instructions are provided for the crocodile stitch and picot stitch. A filet chart is provided for the front and back panels. Turn at end of each row unless otherwise noted.

Gauge: 24 sts + 12 rows = 4”/10cm in double crochet

Pattern uses Panduro Cotton 8/4 yarn but any cotton 8/4 yarn that is also 50g may be used.

Finished dimensions: 26 inches L, 7 inches W (excl. handles)
