The Baktiari hat can be knit as either a beanie or a slouch, in sizes large (22”) or small (18”). The large hat is knit using either aran weight or worsted weight yarn. The small hat is knit using either worsted weight or sport weight. Yardage depends on what style of hat you wish to make and whether or not you want a striped background. Yardage estimates are included in the pattern.

If you wish to add an i-cord and pom poms I have a photo tutorial in my flickr account. Username: Wonderfallz Set: Pom Pom and i-cord tutorial.

I do not include any instructions on how to make tassels but a quick google search of “tassel tutorial” will help you out.

The opening of this hat is lined and the knit lining will need to be stitched in place. You should be comfortable with a loose whip stitch in order to finish the hat.
