“Balada” means slow music in Portuguese and the name is perfect for this cropped, lacy and vintage-inspired cardigan. I always imagine it dressed over a dress while slow dancing in a moonlight garden party.

This cardigan is knitted seamlessly from the bottom up. The body is knitted in one piece up to the armholes. Then the fronts and back are separated and knitted flat to shoulders. Shoulders are joined with 3-needle bind-off and the sleeves are knitted from picked-up stitches in the armhole, down to the cuffs. The neck and button bands are worked from picked-up stitches.
