At roughly 4’4” with 263 rounds, this stuffed snake is just about the size of a real female ball python. The whole thing is worked in the round through a series of increases and decreases, and there’s room for some personalization regarding body curves and face shape.

You’ll need any color yarn, an appropriately sized crochet hook, a darning needle, and something to use for the eyes. (I use buttons, myself.) Thicker or thinner yarn will result in a larger or smaller snake.

The head is a bit large for a ball python, but I believe I mostly managed to capture the charming inconsistencies of the species’ shape.
