I knitted this gown with double points. You can use whatever works for you to knit something this small in the round. My tester used Vanna’s Glamour and knit to gauge, while mine in that yarn turned out a little large and fit the Target mini doll nicely.
I used less than a ball of each color but cannot say if it could be made with just one of these little balls. So it would be a good idea to have a little extra just in case, if you try that.
The dress uses a slightly different way of managing to avoid seaming, but it is not really difficult and the only sewing you need is to sew on a couple snaps & weave in our ends.

So now dig out your fancy yarns and get your girls ready for the Christmas Ball!
Oh yeah, I hope someone will try a beaded bodice. I’d love to see that!

Here is Melody in her gold sequined gown. I did all garter stitch for the upper bodice and worked a Kitchener stitch instead of the three needle bind off. Your choice.
