Valley Yarns Balsam is a cozy women’s cardigan that is perfect for warding off the chill on any cold winter day. Knit in Berkshire Bulky, the sweater has an oversized fit that is ideal for layering and gives you freedom of movement. It features a collar, set-in pockets (lined in lighter weight Berkshire to avoid bulk), and drop-shoulder sleeves. Balsam is knit flat in one piece from the bottom up with a deep garter stitch hem and stockinette stitch body to the armholes. The sleeve stitches are picked up along the armhole edge and worked in the round to the cuff.
