Ready to set sails for the great adventure of life ? Balthazar will navigate with you! This sailor elephant pattern is a great idea for baby shower gifts or birth gifts. You can play with the colours of the stripes to make a more unisex version of it, and its potential of becoming best doudou winner is real! Great pattern for intermediate level crocheters and amigurumi lovers.

PATTERN DETAILS
• Final size (with indicated yarn and gauge): The elephant is 18cm tall (7”) from the feet to the top of the ears
• Level: intermediate
• Stitches and techniques: magic ring, single crochet, BLO, FLO, hdc…
• US crochet notations
• Language: English
• Illustrated step-by-step photos

MATERIALS
• 3.5mm / US E-4 crochet hook, 2.75mm / US C-2 crochet hook (for the bauble cap)
• Yarn: #3 / DK / light worsted yarn, 8ply, 80% cotton 20% Milk Fiber, in grey, red, white, navy blue (I use a local shop yarn that I find quite thick for a #3, an equivalent would be Paintbox Cotton Aran, but keep the 3.5mm hook to obtain tight stitches and avoid the fiberfill to show)
• DMC Cotton Perle N°8 shade 310 (black) to embroider the eyebrows
• Fiberfill
• A pair of 8mm safety eyes
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch marker(s) (or a piece of thread to mark your round beginning)
• Ball point pins for assembly
