Bambara inspired hat

These mitts are designed to match Ambah O’Brian’s “Bambara Wrap” and my matching pattern “Bambara-inspired Hat”. It’s great to use leftover sock yarns in contrasting or gradient colours.

You will need about 175-180 m / 190 yards of fingering weight yarn. If you’re working with 4 colours, as shown in the example, you will need 45-50 m / 50-55 yards of every colour.

Gauge: 22 sts / 10 cm (4”) in garter stitch, unblocked.

The pattern is written in one size to match most adult female hands.
It contains both written and charted instructions for the lace parts.
