This shawl takes the shape of part of a square with an eighth of the square on either side of one vertex missing. It drops to a point in the back. The pattern is based on the venerable “Feather and Fan” or “Old Shale” lace. The usual directions for those stitches have been split into two blocks to make it easier to incorporate increases into the shaping. It can be made as long or as short as you want by doing more or less rows.

You will need a long circular needle, at least 47” and three colors of stitch markers. The shawl is best worked in two colors to get the full effect of the waves brought about by the increases and decreases.

All proceeds from the sale of this pattern go to the Save Our Siberians - Siberspace Rescue Fund, a 501(c)(3) charity supporting Siberian Husky rescue by providing grants for special medical expenses of Siberian Huskies in rescue looking for a permanent home.
