I designed the sock to show off some yarn dyed by a lady living in the area.
This sock is worked from the toe up. It has a Widdershin’s heel and uses a variation of the September 2008 stitch pattern from the Sockamaniac Mystery Sock Yahoo! group. Charts are included. (The pdf here on Ravelry is essentially the same as the post from the pattern page link below.)

(I generally use about 325 yds of yarn for a pair of socks.)
