These socks are great for using up scraps in your stash. You can use different colours for the cuffs, heels and toes or for the colourwork leg. The versions shown in the pattern are worked in two colours, with the main colour used for the cuff and heel and the contrast colour used for the toe.
Intermediate to advanced knitting skills are required. The sock leg is worked using stranded colourwork. The pattern for the colourwork forms a spiral, which means it is very easy to work. You don’t need to pay attention to the beginnings and ends of the rounds until the leg length is reached.

The socks come in 3 sizes S, M and L.
Finished leg length from ankle approx 18 (19, 20) cm/7 (7½, 8) ins
Finished foot length approx 21 (23, 25) cm/8¼ (9, 10) ins
These measurements may be adjusted but be aware that you may need more yarn if length is added to the leg or foot.

Main Colour (M): 1 ball/skein (100g/3½ oz)
Contrast Colour (C): ½ ball/skein (100g/3½ oz)

In the green and white socks, the main colour (M) is a solid colour and the darker of the two colours. The contrast colour (C) is a speckle and is the lighter of the two colours.
In the red and navy socks, the main colour (M) is a self-striping yarn and the lighter of the two colours. The contrast colour (C) is a solid colour and is the darker of the two colours.
