The bar mitts are to put on a bike to keep your fingers warm when cycling on those chilly mornings.

I used wool that felts easily. Any wool that says it needs to be hand washed should felt ok. If you wanted a larger pair, you could use larger needles and thicker wool. The gauge is approx. as it’s not important.

I used one and a half 50gms balls.

I have made the mitts quite roomy so I could wash them in the washing machine a couple of times to felt them. I pulled them into shape and let them dry. The felting makes them denser which will make them warmer.
