A rectangular shawl with motives from the Shetland lace tradition. The center is knit first with provisional cast on, continuing with the first border. The second border is knit onto the provisional cast on (no grafting!). A narrow frame is knit in the round, and finally an edging is knit onto the frame. Customizable in length, and suitable for different weights of yarn. The pictured sample was knit with a laceweight yarn, 1100m / 100g.
