The Bare Twig Headband is a simple, cable project. A great gift for knitters who want to try cables for the first time. The headband would make a lovely gift for friends and family.
Most chunky/bulky weight yarn will work for this project. I used Hayfield Bonus Chunky yarn. The width of the headband will be approximately 4 inches. This pattern is knitted flat using straight needles. It is an excellent pattern for beginners.

Materials
6 mm straight needles (SPNs)
Chunky/Bulky yarn 45 - 65m /49 - 71 yds (I used Hayfield Bonus Chunky for the pink headband pictured)
Tapestry needle (to seam and to weave in the ends)
