When the weather gets chilly, a classic pullover should be the first thing you reach for. Bargeman is a unisex sweater that epitomizes the classic Gansey, but distilled to its most simple, elemental form. It’s timeless appeal and neutral color means it will last through many winters.

Bargeman utilizes traditional Gansey construction: knit in the round from the bottom up, with the front and back upper body knit flat and joined at the shoulders with a 3-Needle Bind Off, the stitches for the sleeves are then picked up around the armholes and are knit down to the cuffs. The welt and cuffs are knit in garter stitch, as is the yoke. The collar is knit in stockinette stitch with a rolled edge. This garment is completely seamless and is created without any purl stitches.
