PATTERN INFORMATION
Bark is one of those many triangular shawls that are very elongated in shape. It measures 5 cm at the start and reaches a width of approximately 23 cm at its widest point. It is ideal for using up yarn scraps; for instance, you can keep Color A constant throughout while switching Color B to various different leftover yarns. The pattern uses a two-color (or multi-color) slip-stitch technique. A stitch from the previous color remains visible whenever you switch to the next color. The effect is most striking when there is good contrast between the colors. You can experiment with different yarn types—such as combining kid mohair for one color with wool or merino wool for the other. Our shawl uses Kumo (a Suri alpaca blend from La Bien Aimée) and Silk Song (from Hesselstrik).
