These mittens are almost magical. They fit snugly, hugging the hand, but at the same time they fit a wide range of sizes perfectly. The two sizes fit everyone from a woman with small hands to a 6’ 6” man with very large hands. With modifications to the length they would also fit children. They have an afterthought thumb but feel as though they have a perfectly designed thumb gusset. They can be knit from one strand of chunky, two strands of dk or three strands of fingering

These mittens are also perfect for those who complain about the sloppiness of mittens or who want lots of grippiness for driving or snow shovelling.

Measurements:
Palm circumference: 6 -11 inches
Length above thumb: 5 inches unstretched but will stretch to 7” comfortably.

Yarn Requirements: This pattern works best with a yarn that has lots of bounce and good recovery. Aran/chunky weight (recommended gauge 14-16 st/4”) 132(142)yds, 120(130) m. DK weight 264(284)yds, 240 (260) m. (used two strands at a time). Fingering/ sock weight 394(427) yds, 360 (390) m. (used 3 strands at a time)
