Friendly Barn Owl Puppet is knit from 2 strands of worsted weight wool yarn held together, then felted in a washing machine. Strong and durable, he will last generations! Fits up to an adult hand.

Basic Construction:

Barn Owl Puppet is knit in the round from the head to the wings, then in 2 sections (front and back) to the bottom. The sides are seamed before felting. The face is completed post-felting, the head stuffed lightly with fiberfill and an internal finger pocket is sewn in place.

Yarn Requirements:

3 skeins Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Worsted; Color: White, 240 yds

2 skeins Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Worsted; Color: Golden Heather; 140 yds.

about 1 yard of worsted weight rust or light brown yarn

Notions: Fiberfill, Scissors, tapestry needle, stitch markers, darning needle, 12 mm black safety eyes, needlefelt needle (optional)
