Inspired by the grand, beautiful symmetry of European Baroque gardens and architecture… and dreams of traveling again one day! The allover decorative stitch pattern is delightful to knit and easy to memorize. And knit in a scrumptiously soft alpaca-wool blend yarn these could become the favorite weekend-at-home socks!

I knit the sample socks using one plus skeins of Garnstudio Drops Nord. Though an alpaca-wool blend is noted, any 4 ply/fingering sock weight yarn may be used to great effect. Decorative stitch pattern is most attractive when using solid color or semi-solid/tonal yarns. Directions are given for Magic Loop method, but pattern easily adaptable to knitting with DPNS. Stitch pattern is neutral enough to be unisex.
