THE BASE DOODLE MITTENS are an awesome canvas for your design – the simple shape can be used as-is, but it is also a great backdrop for showcasing beautiful yarn, stacking your favorite Doodle colorwork charts together, or even just featuring your one favorite chart! Make the cuff longer or shorter, add texture, customize however you like. The options are endless!

SIZES

Approx. 4, 6, (8, 10) in 10, 15 (20, 25) cm circumference.

Approx. 3-4, 6-7 (8-9, 9-10) in 7.5-10, 15-18 (20-23, 23-25) cm height.

YARN

Any DK, light worsted, or sport weight yarn that meets gauge. Doodles are designed to use leftover yarn, yarn advents, or any other small batches of colorways in your stash. Yarn shown is a suggestion from the Designer. Alternative yarns are encouraged.

Sample uses 85% Superwash Merino and 15% Nylon DK by Yarnaceous Fibers, 100g 246 yards 225 m.

Yardage listed in total yards per size in colorwork due to the customizable nature of this pattern.

NEEDLES

US 5/3.75 mm or size needed to obtain gauge

One size smaller needle for ribbing (optional)

16 in 40 cm circular needles + Magic Loop or DPNs for crown decreases

Stitch markers (one in different color if adding colorwork)

Scissors & Tapestry needle

SPECIAL TECHNIQUES
