This is your classic Basic beanie! You know, the one you toss on for running errands, keeping warm on a cool fall or winter day, or just about anything you’d do outside in the chilly weather. You have the option of knitting this beanie either with a solid color or sprucing it up a bit by adding stripes to the top portion. Oh… and did I mention this beanie is Unisex? YUP, this beanie works for any person.

The construction of this design is knit bottom up and, in the round, with a double brim effect. After the double brim you start slowly decreasing in an even manner. Once finished you pull your working yarn through the last loops, squeeze it up tight and VOILA!

This pattern currently comes in 1 size and fits most heads. However, this design does often stretch out quite a bit with wear, so if it feels snug on your first try on, don’t fret! It will stretch to fit you perfectly.

Yarn:
Lion Brand - Heartland OR any other Worsted/Category 4 weight yarn that meets gauge.

Needles Used:
US7/4.5MM 16’’ circular needles

Required Skills:
knit in the round
basic decreases (K2TOG)
folded double brim technique
