This is a very simply constructed baby sweater. It is ranked “Easy” as it uses basic stitches, repetitive stitch patterns, simple shaping and finishing, and simple yarn joins.

Knowledge of single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitches will be necessary to complete this project.

The recommended yarn makes the basic stitches look fancier! Two sweaters can be made using one skein of the recommended yarn.

The sweater photographed was made in “Country Blue” Red Heart Fiesta yarn. You will need three 5/8” or larger buttons and some sewing thread in addition to the yarn needle and sewing needle.

The sweater body is done in one piece and the sleeves are made by joining the yarn in the arm-holes. So, the sweater is essentially made in one piece.
