Have you ever had a skein of yarn that was so gorgeous that you just wanted to hang it around your neck without even knitting it? Well… this is the next best thing!

Brioche rib is so soft, lofty, and squishy; it will showcase your special yarn perfectly, without being fussy or time-consuming to make. The stitch has just 2 steps so don’t be put off imagining it’s difficult to make - give it a go!

This pattern offers two different sizes of cowl, and requires approx 400m of fingering yarn to complete. One cowl is wide and wraps once, the other is narrow and can wrap once or twice.

The pattern is very simple to customise for different yardage and different yarn weights.

Tubular 1x1 rib cast on and bind off is recommended but not essential. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also google how to create a seamless brioche graft, and work the cowl that way with a provisional brioche cast on. (This pattern does not offer that technique).
