Is Christmas really complete without a few stockings hanging around? These stocking are designed to create that traditional festive look and fit more than a few chocolate treats or filler gifts!

The materials required are listed below. The yarn used to make them as pictured was Red Heart Super Saver (acrylic) yarn in in two colours – one main, one accent – but you can go wild and stripe them out and create a real funky Christmas mish-mash.

You can even add some glitter, add some stitched decoration – whatever suits your mood.

Materials Required:

Aran Weight Yarn (2 colours)
5mm crochet hook
Stitch markers and pins
Yarn needle

Stitch Knowledge Required:

Sc = Single crochet
Hdc = Half double crochet
Dc = Double crochet
Tc = Triple crochet
Slip st = Slip stitch
Sc2tog = Single crochet decrease
BLO = Back loops only
** = a repeating stitch pattern

Measurements:

The completed piece measures approx. 40 cm tall.
