Simple basic cowl that is more of a guide than a pattern as it can be customized to your personal preferences using different yarns, needle sizes and/or # of cast on stitches.

I would add more rows of garter stitch to each border to combat the tendency of the stockinette section to curl. Could also break up the stockinette portion with a band(s) of eyelets or other textured stitches.
