It might come as a shock to you that this is a pattern for a very simple, very low-frill, basic hat.
No matter if this is your first-ever hat, if you are looking for some standard version as a starting point for your own improvisations, or if you simply enjoy the beauty of a clear design – this might just be the project for you.

You’ll need one ball of yarn for this hat in its most basic, one-colour version. If you want to add stripes, you need yarn scraps for those, too, of course.
There are instructions (and yarn suggestions) included for versions of the hat inspired by the flags of Iceland, Norway, Orkney and Åland.

As always, you’ll find youtube-tutorials showing you all the techniques needed for this hat.

So, have fun, and good luck with your project!
