This pattern is designed to be simple and easy to knit. Ideal for a beginner who would like to try a mitten with gusset for the first time. Instructions include both a fingerless mitts version and a regular mittens version. The beautifully variegated yarn creates an interesting look, but I think the mitts would still look amazing in a solid colour. Use what you have in your stash!

If you need to adjust the size you can use chunkier or thinner yarn or simply adjust the number of stitches you cast on to create the right size for your hands. Don’t forget to adjust the number of thumb stitches in the gusset accordingly or you could end up with a thumb that strangles your finger or flaps about pointlessly.

The pattern is available in both English and Swedish.
