Basic Topdown DK Cardigan

A crochet pattern for a TRUE BASIC CARDIGAN that goes with everything.

This crochet pattern teaches you how a seamless top-down cardigan is constructed, so that you can later try making your own variations, such as a longer or shorter version, short sleeves, ¾ sleeves, …

Top-down and seamless means that the cardigan is crocheted from the top down in one piece, without seams.

Row by row, your cardigan becomes wider and larger and gradually takes shape.

The advantage of this is that you can try on your cardigan as you crochet and make adjustments if necessary, so that you end up with a perfectly fitting cardigan.

The pattern is fully written in 7 sizes : XS – S – M – L – XL – 2XL – 3XL.
Pattern available in English (UK and US crochet terms) and in Dutch.

The finished back widths for the different sizes are :
XS : 40 cm / 16 in
S : 43,50 cm / 17,25 in
M : 48,25 cm / 19,25 in
L : 53 cm / 21 in
XL : 57.,50cm / 22,75 in
2XL : 62,50 cm / 24,75 in
3XL : 67 cm / 26,50 in

For each size, tables are provided alongside the written instructions, including all stitch counts. This allows you to follow the pattern row by row, making everything much clearer.

Yarn : this cardigan is crocheted using dk weight yarn.

You will need 1195 (1280, 1390, 1500, 1630, 1775, 1930)m of yarn.
