I have been wandering through the narrow streets of the historic center of Naples. People shout, scooters honk zig-zagging like crazy, the laundry hanging above my head. Odours are strong, walls full of graffiti, paper and other stuff here and there under my feet. After a short walk, I face a large beautiful piazza. On one side of the piazza there’s the Royal Palace, while on the opposite side there’s the Basilica with its façade and columns facing the piazza. Entering the calm and twilight of the Basilica fills me with
soothing peace. I raise my head to admire the cupola with its beautiful carvings.

Basilica Reale cardigan is an open front raglan cardigan knit top down seamlessly. The back neck is shaped with German short rows. After separating the sleeve sts, the body is knit flat to the hem. Both hem and sleeve cuffs are decorated with a mosaic st pattern. The sleeves are worked in the round. The front bands are worked last.
