I love to make sports patterns. And this one is a really bright one! :)
This time it’s a basketball beanie!
It has a multicolor ribbing in light and dark orange, off-white and black.
Then comes the basketfield and two players in the air.
One tries to throw the ball over the others head into the basket. The other one is in the defence.
The players are followed by basketball shoes and at the top there are basketballs and a stripe circle.

It’s completely knitted in 4-ply sock yarn. Alternatively you can also use Acrylic or Merino yarn (4 - to 5-ply).
For bigger heads go up one or two needle sizes and/or use 5-ply yarn or both.

It’s easier to knit than you may think as there are at most two colors in one round.

Ich liebe es Sportmotive zu entwerfen. Diesmal ist es eine Basketballmütze in dementsprechend leuchtenden Farben geworden.
Ich habe sie in 4-fach Sockenwolle gestrickt. Ihr könnt aber auch Acrylgarn oder Merinogarn ähnlicher Stärke (4 - bis 5-fach) verwenden.
Für größere Köpfe nehmt eine oder zwei Nadelstärken größer und/oder verwendet 5-fach Garn (z.B. Buttinette Madeleine).

Sie ist leichter zu stricken als es aussieht, weil maximal zwei Farben pro Runde verwendet werden.
Die Beanie beginnt mit einem mehrfarbigen Bund, gefolgt vom Basketballfeld und zwei Basketballspielern. Einer versucht den Ball über den Kopf des anderen in den Korb zu bringen. Der andere verteidigt. Darüber folgen Basketballstiefel und den Mützenabschluß bilden Basketbälle.
