This is a shawl that is asymmetrical and composed of short rows and five different basket weave patterns. The name was derived from the basket weave stitches and the wave-like shape. This shawl can be made using 5 colors and a main color, two colors, or even just one color. I hope you enjoy the pattern.

Supplies needed:
US 4 or 3.5 mm circular needle

For the 5 Color Version:
Main color (garter section) - approximately 270 yards of a sock/fingering weight
5 contrasting colors (patterned section) - approximately 70 yards each sock/fingering weight.

For the 2 Color Version:
Main color (garter section) - approximately 270 yards of a sock/fingering weight
Contrasting color (pattern section) - 350 yards sock/fingering weight

For the single color version:
Approximately 620 yards of sock/fingering weight. I recommend a solid or tonal to set off the stitches.
