Notes: Battenberg is constructed from a number of separately worked granny squares. The squares are joined together while a double crochet border is worked; refer to the appropriate diagrams in the magazine when laying out pieces and working the joining rows. Note that some sizes have half-squares at the side seams, and all sizes feature a triangle on each front; the remainder of the shapes are squares. Finally the garment pieces are joined and a button/buttonhole band worked around the front opening.
