The 5th bauble in the series is based on a look served by Howard Morris, the neurotic, cat-loving resident of the Arconia who becomes increasingly involved with the main trio’s mysteries. His character arc has explored his complex relationship with his late
mother, his grief, and his struggle to find his place and assert his independence, all while wearing the most amazing knitwear, including an intarsia duck vest in season 4, episode 4, The Stunt Man.

The holidays are already stressful enough, and knitting is our happy place, so we will be mimicking the duck pattern on Howard’s vest in two color stranded knitting rather than intarsia. This sample was knit with Sister Weekend Ruth Sock in “Howard” as the main color and “Oliver” as the contrast, but you could also use “Loretta” as the main and “Howard” as the contrast. All you need is approximately 5 grams of main color and 3 grams of contrast color.
